Creative Work Produced by the Children

 

Newspaper Headlines and Documentary Storyboards

In groups, the class worked on creating the front page of a local newspaper, designing a museum exhibition or a creating a plan for a TV documentary.

The children used the information they had gathered from talking to the 'Home Front Veterans' to inspire their work.

Drawings and Mural

The children also created drawings and art work as well as adding illustrations to their written work. Together, the children also painted a mural which depicted children in the school playground during the war. The children all carry boxes containing their gas masks.
