The Imperial War Museum Film Archive is specifically dedicated to the collection and preservation of film related to conflict in Britain and the Commonwealth through film of both military and civilian life. In addition, all of the UK's other film archives possess collections that feature aspects of life during war-time on the home front during the First and Second World Wars as well as other conflicts in the twentieth century. This material includes military action, the home guard and air raid patrol, war-time industrial production, public and family life during war-time, government propaganda, and the aftermath of war.
