Events

Films of regional and national events around Britain, made by individuals, societies and groups or by newsreel or television news organisations feature strongly in the public sector film archives. Events captured in these films span the twentieth century and range from local events such as fairs, official openings and the effects of extreme weather conditions to national events such as royal coronations, funerals and political demonstrations.
