Arts and culture

Many archive films contain rare and often unique recordings of dress, dances, poetry, songs, cultural traditions and crafts from particular groups and periods, as well as capturing the views, lives and work of performers, artists and craftspersons around Britain. This is in addition to the use of film and video by artists and film-makers to express and interpret their ideas and lives.
