Other Partnerships

The archive has formed many partnerships on a project basis with museums, libraries, record offices and other bodies in Wales. For example the archive collaborated with the National Museum of Wales in 1996 to celebrate the centenary of film. The archive works with other museums and archives in Wales to preserve moving images, for example the Museum of Welsh Life (part of the National Museums and Galleries of Wales) which has a small collection of moving images, and the International Film School Wales whose collection of student films are being acquired by the archive.

The Cardiff Screen Festival (formerly the International Film Festival of Wales) regularly includes a programme of material from the archive and the annual Celtic Film and Television Festival also has regular NSSAW input. The Archive collaborates with many cinemas and screening venues across Wales in the mounting of its annual national tour, 'Classic Reels and Wheels'
