Academic Projects and Research Work Using the Archive

The archive has links with academic institutions in the area including Plymouth University, Plymouth College of Art and Design, University of Exeter, Bristol University, Dartington College of Art, and the College of St Mark and St John in Plymouth. The archive also has links with the Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture based at the University of Exeter.

Work with universities in the region has included giving talks and film presentations to students, helping students with research for PhD’s and other projects, assisting in scholarly research and technical help such as video copying for media and arts projects. Previous academic liaison work has involved students and academic staff from a number of subject areas such as performing arts, arts management, moving image studies, and teacher training, amongst others.
