The Archive

The North West Film Archive was set up in 1977 and is the professionally recognised home for moving images made in or about Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire. The archive is part of the Manchester Metropolitan University and is based in Manchester city centre. The archive is committed to rescuing and ensuring the survival of moving images about the North West of England for the education and enjoyment of the region's people.
