The North West Film Archive offers a range of video compilations for sale, covering highlights from the collection. These can also be purchased for use by special interest groups and societies, schools and reminiscence projects - an authorisation letter is required for these uses. The Moving Memories series of video comprises four general compilations of titles from the region, In addition, two subject specific compilations - on the Manchester Ship Canal and Buses, Trams and Trolley buses - are available. Three video resource packs for classroom use have been produced on the themes of the Home Front in the Second World War in the North West of England (primary and secondary school versions) and the Manchester Ship Canal.

The archive also published a paperback book entitled ”The Picture House” - a photographic album of North West cinemas (1988).
