This silent 'local topical' film from Berwick-upon-Tweed shows a procession in the town centre followed by scenes at a funfair. It captures the styles of clothing worn in the era through the mixture of people seen, for example, wearing different types of hats such as top hats and flat caps and the women in closhes. The film is particularly notable for a long tracking shot in a street which has now been totally demolished. The Northern Region Film and Television Archive has a number of films that show groups of people in villages, towns and communities in the region at leisure, on excursions or at sporting events. Other examples of include leisure activities at the seaside in 'Redcar for Holidays' in 1934, and the 'West End Aged Poor's Outing To Little Benton' in 1923.
