Academic Projects and Research Work Using the Archive

The Imperial War Museum Film and Video Archive is used extensively by Academic researchers, lecturers and students from all over the UK and abroad. Academic users of the archive include students and researchers from history, film studies, art and multi-media, documentary film making, literature, music and many others. Examples of recent academic work involving the archive includes studies on the subjects of French resistance, Post-war regeneration and reconstruction, German propaganda, representation of war on film, the holocaust, rationing, war and the domestic sphere, race and gender, the Commonwealth contribution, war-time art, and many others.
