Produced by the Worker's Film Association Ltd, and photographed by E.Yosper, this ten minute film is a record of the work of the Peterborough and District Co-operative Society. There are scenes of production, distribution and shopping. The film shows the Co-operative Society vans leaving to deliver goods to customers' homes throughout the district, and shows a women going out to shop at her local Co-op stores. The film has a compelling commentary, which, in this clip, describes the "many handsome and up-to-date branches, conveniently placed for the members". The Co-operative Society had a long standing tradition of making films about the society or promoting its goods and services. Other films by the Co-operative society in the East Anglian Film Archive include the c1936 film 'Co op parade' which records the 75th anniversary Colchester Co-operative Society parade, and 'It's in the Can' (1961), a publicity film for Waveney canned foods from the CWS canning factory in Lowestoft.
