Produced by Pye Television of Cambridge, this ten minute publicity film shows the development, manufacture, and usage of Pye black and white television cameras and receivers at the time. Made in 1947, when television equipment was developing fast, this film includes Pye equipment being used in an outside broadcast, in the class room and in 'industrial television'. Collections of corporate and promotional films in the East Anglian Film Archive include many of the large companies based in the region, including Bird's Eye, Coleman's, and the Co-operative Society, who's film 'A Romance of Co-operation' (1941) advertises the society's delivery network and range of local stores. |
