Academic Projects and Research Work Using the Archive

MACE is currently working in partnership Carlton Television and the University of Nottingham Institute of Film Studies on a proposed project to enhance the Carlton Television collection’s catalogue and holdings, and to enable greater academic research and access to the collection.

Academic interest in the archive's collection is a growing element in MACE’s access work. At the University of Nottingham’s Institute of Film Studies, researchers are exploring the comparative differences between US and UK film-making, using the City of Nottingham as a site for film consumption and reception studies, as well as studying UK regional television output.
